Probate is a legal process where a court oversees the distribution of a deceased person's property, most often under the terms of their Will. Probate is not always necessary. It may not be required if the deceased person leaves very few assets or their assets can otherwise be legally distributed. An abbreviated small estate process may also be used in certain circumstances, at a significantly less cost than a probate estate.

We recognize that it is often overwhelming and stressful for family members who are grieving the loss of a loved on to also navigate the court probate process. Our office can assist you with administering the estate, advise the personal representative, and oversee distribution of the estate. We will keep you informed throughout the process and assist the personal representative with carrying out the wishes of the deceased person. We can also assist with litigation in situations where it is necessary. Probate estates are handled on an hourly basis, however our fees are paid out of the assets of the estate at the conclusion of the process.
